And now, this is a CdJ or something like that.
Name: Romina.
Age: 21.
Nationality: Argentinian.

Occupation: Freelance Graphic Designer (studying advertising).

RPing Experience: 6 years... in Spanish! English is my second language and I'd love to get some RPing experience in English.

How would I describe my RPing?: I like building strong characters, letting things flow and not forcing stuff. I'm a very good writer in Spanish (and I know I can successfully make you cry your eyes out in my angsty posts or make you laugh your ass off in my silly, funny posts). I'd love to get that good in English. I'm not 100% comfortable in English because I don't have the same vocabulary or experience as I have in Spanish.

What I'm used to roleplay: HP-verse. It never gets old for me or my OCs. Yep, boring. I RP more male characters than female characters.

What I'd love to play:
  • Zombie Apocalypse! I have a thing for Zombies. Really.
  • A robot Uprising! I also have a thing for robots.
  • Mutants! X-Men-verse or Heroes-verse.
  • Something Fringe-versed! There are other agents besides Olivia, Charlie and Astrid, right?
  • Something Asimov-inspired. Maybe Auroreans or Solarians?(I just know how they're called in Spanish) Encyclopedists?
  • Japanese citizens. Not like 'omg Kawaii j-rocker desu!' I'm very into what socially their culture is. So cold, afraid of failure and riddiculation!
  • Severus Snape! School-age, preschool age, his double-agent era. Whatever. I love Snape (and Snape+Lily)
What I don't want to play:
  • Slash. Let alone HP characters in slash storylines.
  • Over-plotted lines. 'So, my character will ____ your character and then they will _____'. No. We can talk about their initial relation, setting, whatever. But I don't like to be so spoiled! I like being surprised.
  • Celebrities. They're to portray my characters, just that! I won't be the Nick Jonas for your Miley!
  • Sex just for the fun of it. I don't mind sex scenes (I don't do them a lot either) if they're worth RPing. I tend to fade to black in those situations.
What I look for in my RPing partner:
  • Grammar/Spelling nazis! I want to improve my writing! I can be your Spelling nazi too if you want to RP in Spanish.
  • Constructive critics.
  • Variety.
  • People who roleplay because they love to write, create solid characters and develop their personalities and history.
My RPing Creed:
  • A good idea is not good enough for good RP. The way you write it could make it or break it.
  • Characters must have flaws. Flaws make them unique, interesting and awesome.
  • If you don't follow your character's personality and you RP whatever you felt like, what's the point of it?
  • Lenght is not important when it comes to RPing. I'm talking about how much you write. Interaction is important, I do keep that in mind.
  • I think you don't have to play all your cards right away. Always leave something interesting for later, you might need it.
  • I like surprises. I like to surprise. I don't like it when you force things.
  • I won't complain, won't bitch. I'll just let you know if I think something is not right.
  • Ideas should be shared! If I came up with something cool, I'll let you know. And I hope you do the same with me.
I'm interested in PSL in English to improve my skills and Spanish because that's my confort zone.

Also, totally agree about the Japanese culture---I am studying that ATM. Hence why I LOVE Noriko, she totally goes against the stereotype. :D

I'm stying Japanese ATM and my teacher just got here two years ago! So she keeps talking about how things are there opposite of how they are here!

And [info]havenmods is huge, people there is amazing, and I'm terrified! I have almost 0 RP experience in English (I am PSLing something in English, but I've been doing it for a couple of weeks) so, I'm not ready yet for such a huge game.

Well, I posted this entry to see if I get to catch somebody who could help me with my ~narrative English~ while we PSL a little. So if you're willing to, and have the patience for it (and the time, and... stuff), just contact me <3

I know I friended you for the icons buuuut your list intrigues me.

You play HP and would like to play a Japanese citizen. I'm currently working on an Asianwarts game. It's not open yet. We're making it pretty at the moment and getting out kinks (my co-mods and I are very picky people). But if that would interest you, I can give you the heads up or even give you a brief run-down of the setting (think of it as a HP verse crossed with Asian dramas feel).

Also, I find it interesting you're from Argentina. My step mom is from Uruguay right next door. My dad went to Argentina with her once and commented on the roads and how big they were in Buenas Aires.

I'm actually working on a Hispanic character at the moment and I plan on using your Benjamin Rojas set (holy crap he's so cute!). He's gonna be a detective with a special magnifying glass for this superhero game.

Yay! Benjamin and, could that game be neopolis? That game sounds so amazing and scares the shit out of me, haha!

I'm talking about PSLs because I don't want to be a pain in the neck for other players as I work on my skillz. I do know how to write, and I consider myself pretty good at it. In Spanish. Buuut... that Asianwarts sounds good, but I don't know if I'll feel confortable there. Or you guys. Or if I could apply and be accepted. I'm the admin of the HPgame I'm currently into and I know how it is to 'train' somebody unexperienced.

Maybe after I feel more confortable in English I'll get into that game (anyway, link me to it when it's ready!)

Yeah, it's neo and it can be intimidating. I have the Asian American Version of the Incredible Hulk there and use Satoshi Ohno as a PB. He's really introverted so I'm hoping Saturnino can be a bit more extroverted. Writing him up, he feels kinda like Harriet the Spy meets Eita's character in Voice (if you've read/seen either of those)

Well, the invite is open! We'd love to have new people! Our minimum for poses is 3 paragraphs. But I completely understand. I don't know if I could rp in Spanish. I used to be good at it but now my grammar has diminished horribly. But the people we have there so far are very understanding/helpful people. :D

I don't do much in the way of PSLs. Sadly. What is the setting of your HP game curiously?

(No, I haven't D: geesh)

When you talk about poses, what do you mean? Like, how much you have to write per post or in your characters bio?

Anyway, our game is Hogwarts but there are no cannon Characters. Harry, Voldie and Co. don't exist. We have our own 'special situation', and that is that the new Minister is a mudblood and he's very into magical minorities. Political stuff, mainly. And both in Hogwarts and Postwarts life is played there. This game has been around for 5 years now. It's my baby <3

Poses are like what your character is doing. We do story format. [info]sakurakojihan is the journal of one of my chars for the Asianwarts game and it's sort of what we look for (that is the shortest bio of all my chars there).

I love games like that. There is only so much you can do with the canon characters! I love the HP world so much. I just don't like the canon characters or to play them is what I mean. If I play HP canon, I go with a character we know little about. I prefer to play OC's although I like playing anime canon for some reason. IDK.

So you're not that interactive there. I mean, what makes RPing better than writing a fanfic for me is that there's somebody else making it unexpected and awesome. Why would you must write X words per entry if they might not be necessary? The more you write =/= the better you do it. I've seen long post that suck and they're just other people showing off how many words they can use to just say nothing interesting, and short, brief actions in a little paragraph that were absolutely great. I always keep it in mind, there is two of us in a RPing line, or more, and it's all about cooperation and interaction. Soo... that Asianwarts game probably is not for me! I'm not interested in having to force myself to write loads just because that's a rule, that's not my kind of roleplaying. I can write a lot and just a little, depending on what's going on. Thanks anyway, that's an interesting game indeed.

Yeah, the HP world is amazing and there's so much to do there! There's interesting stuff all around, and OC's are love. What I don't like about canon characters is that not everybody has the same mental image of X character, so ~your~ James Potter is not ~my~ James Potter and that kind of things that are a little turn-off.

Oh you misunderstand what I meant. What I mean by a limit was more like try to have 3 paragraphs. But they don't have to be very long and sometimes all you can push out is one paragraph which is fine because sometimes that happens. Sometimes all you need to say can be effectively said in 1 paragraph. But we do want quality over quantity because I do agree with you. I've met a lot of people who thought since they could write five paragraphs that say NOTHING they were a better rper. I prefer a rp partner in which I don't have to wade through prose to get what they're saying at and that I can react to. We have that min because we don't want one line poses.

There is interaction, just logs sometimes can take a while, depending on what's going on. I've finished some logs in one afternoon in which most of us wrote 2 paragraphs each. But I also been in logs that took a week or so because we wrote a lot. I guess I look at the finished product to look like a story of some sort, like you can go back and read it and that is what it feels like. Yeah, maybe it is a bit like fanfic but many people contribute to it and tell the story of their characters and there is interaction that way.

But I understand what you mean. It's fine :D.

Ohh, I see! Because when you said 'Our minimum for poses is 3 paragraphs' I understood that it was mandatory! and I agree with you, you should be able to go back to what you RPed and be able to read it as if it was some sort of novel or short story. Actually, I get very RP-ing nostalgic so I go back and read a lot hahaha! That's also great to see how my style got refined and how my characters grew up.

Well, so that' 'minimum 3 paragraphs' is not as scary as I thought it was! Anyway, I need to get more confortable and confident on my English writing before I get into that kind of games. I still think it has a cool premise and I'd love to get in. But not yet :/

Thanks a lot for being a sweetheart!

Hey there! As you aren't online right now I thought I would comment your journal. I apologize for not starting up a thread the other day. I've been staying at my friend's and her cable has been out for the past few days. But I'm home again and have started a thread here for you should you still want to try out our line! I think you should join [info]ccrpg! It's a multi-fandom game, and the players are great! I'm a mod there. If you're interested, hit me up on AIM sometime: winsome wizard.

I don't mean to pimp the game or anything, but there's soooo many different fandoms there, and I thought maybe it'd be a place where you'd like to play! ♥

That really sounds interesting, but yet again I don't feel confortable in Englis yet :/ That's why I'm looking for patient people who would like to PSL or do something more relaxed than a in-a-game RPing (so they can correct any stylistic/grammatical mistakes). Thanks anyway, honey!
